DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

The department of English was established in 1997 and it is now a premier centre for English education. The department makes its humble beginning just as a compulsory subject with the inception of college. The compulsory English, communicative English and generic elective were the various papers taught till 2018 when the department takes a new shape with the introduction of English Honours course with the 32 seats.

The department of English strives to accomplish the aim and mission of Basudev Godavari Degree College, Kesaibahal to provide quality higher education with employability skills. English should not be a barrier for achieving the goals of students. It is also a centre for co curricular and extra-curricular and extension activities ,apart from textual studies. The department aims at all round development of students by nurturing their hidden talents.
